Fictional recollection In this fictional memory, a song is attached to a room before it is attached to a chart position. The listener remembers who was there and the task they were doing. Release records can date a recording; they cannot prove the day this person first heard it. The edition joins those two kinds of evidence without including the commercial recording or reproducing its lyrics. Evidence and source treatment The Library of Congress National Recording Registry supplies context for significant recordings. A registry entry does not establish an individual's memory of hearing it. This is an illustrative excerpt with invented personal circumstances. A purchased edition replaces these with the customer's permitted memories and checked sources.
